Objectives of this role:
Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround time
Continually raise the bar on creativity, writing fresh copy that connects with the desired audience and drives action
Is well adept with the latest trends, language, tone and pop-culture
Comfortably vary voice, style, and other characteristics demanded by the industry, company, or target audience at hand
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communication and client-related industry trends
Stay updated on appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistent messaging.
Interpret creative briefs to develop and produce creative concepts through execution on assigned brands
Research and understand the client's needs and target audiences, through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject matter experts, and in-person meetings
Collaborate with account managers, media teams and external stakeholders such as influencers, influencer manager agencies, production houses, etc from concept development to delivery of the final content piece
Present copy concepts and final deliverables to the internal team, and to client representative as needed, and participate in client pitches on occasion
Write clear, attractive copy with a distinct voice that’s best suits the client and the target audiences
Collaborate with designers, PR, and other professionals on large- and small-scale marketing projects (e.g. email campaigns and landing pages)
Edit and proofread copy as needed
Use SEO principles to maximize copy’s reach
Source images and other content
2-3 years of experience in copy at a digital agency
Ability to manage multiple accounts while working on new pitches
Ability to understand client’s needs/ brief ask to craft sharp creatives and captions
Have a sound understanding of the social media platforms, real-time trends, influencer marketing and a good grasp on consumer behavior/ content consumption on socials.
Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in mass media/advertising/marketing or a related discipline
Qualifications and Prior Experience:
Proven experience as a copywriter at a digital agency. Experience in having worked on a youth centric/ dating app will be beneficial
An active personal/ personally managed social media page (Instagram, Twitter)
Creative ideation spanning across social media content (posts, activities, influencer marketing)
Knowledge of online content strategy and creation
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Experience with SEO is Preferred
Strong research skills
Excellent time-management and organizational skills
BMM/ BSc/ BA in marketing, English, journalism, or related field
