a. Understanding scripts to be able to shortlist suitable talent for every role
b. Ability to build networks with writers, directors, and casting agencies
c. Scout for acting talent and knowledge of up-and-coming talent in the industry
d. Determining budgets basis all factors (this includes, usage, exclusivity, shoot hours/days, etc.) and pitching in-house talent accordingly
e. Arrange for auditions and keep track of the project status
f. Pitch in house talent across agencies for auditions across TVCs, web shows, and films.
g. Keep track of all upcoming projects - films/series/short films/sketches (in the pre-production stage), find out details, and connect to the right POC for casting.
h. Contract negotiation skills to achieve mutual satisfaction
a. Ability to maintain knowledge of industry trends
b. Updated with the upcoming projects
c. Current knowledge of available acting talent
d. Instinct to recognize talent
e. Good communication and negotiation skills
f. Good networking skills
g. Should have a network of agents & agencies to know of upcoming projects.
Qualifications and Prior Experience:
a. 2+ years experience working with a production house or a casting agency
b. Should have worked on at least a few released projects (Films/sketch/series)
c. Preferably a graduate from Film School
