About the Product:

OML has lived in a unique cross-section of brands and influencers, putting us in the distinctive position of appreciating the influencer marketing universe with first-hand experience, thus gathering deep knowledge of this ecosystem. Our unique proprietary content measurement system has already served 500+ creators in 20+ countries – it's time now to roll this out to other artists and clients by way of this tech platform. About the Role:

As we build out our product offerings for the content creators, talent managers, brands, agencies & publishers, we are looking for an experienced Associate Vice President of Engineering to build and lead this new vertical at OML along with others.

The AVP of Engineering will be responsible for building, managing, and scaling a team of talented engineers & data scientists to develop a compelling and scalable SaaS product. They will also be responsible for upholding OML values and building those into the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Play a critical role as a founding member of the product team in shaping and supporting the overall product vision, day-to-day operations, and engineering culture
  • Lead software architecture direction in defining and implementing an platform architecture that is robust, efficient and scalable
  • Build highly scalable and reliable SaaS application on latest technologies with a robust data backend that allows for agile growth and development
  • Be the technology pillar for the business, involved in strategic and operational decision making
  • Partner with product management and extended leadership team to determine timelines of execution for the roadmap, key milestones, resources required, trade-offs based on technical needs and customer needs to deliver viable products consistently
  • Hire and mentor a skilled technical team with the goal to build a product that scales with market opportunities
  • Develop and inculcate a culture of maintaining highest levels of development practices including: technical design, solution development, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution, quality assurance, writing clean, modular and self-sustaining code, with repeatable quality and predictability
  • Support teams to be productive and “own” the product
  • Establish a high performing, inclusive engineering culture focused on innovation, execution, growth and development


  • Versatile technology stud with impeccable academic and career profile
  • Been a technology leader in a startup or top-tier product companies
  • Expertise in modern technologies AWS/Google Cloud, Linux/Unix OS, Systems & Networking, JavaScript frontend and backend frameworks, database architecture , Machine learning & AI
  • Hands-on experience in building large scale distributed systems.Experience in building highly scalable Enterprise SaaS software is a big plus.
  • Exceptional leadership skills and proven experience in shaping team culture
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Prior experience in and proven ability attract, retain and coach engineering talent from top companies and universities

Qualifications and Prior Experience:

  • BE/ B. Tech. or above in Computer Science /Software Engineering
  • 6+ years of industry experience with 4+ years of experience leading engineering teams with over 10+ software engineers
  • 4+ years of experience as a software engineer in the top product or enterprise SaaS. Previous experience in a start-up will be a big plus

Location: Willing to relocate to Mumbai in the future, if needed 

Reports to: Line reporting to VP Product / Dotted Line Reporting to CEO
