About the role:

We are looking for a self-motivated and talented Communications associate to be in charge of internal and external communication by producing high-quality content (for our social media handles, websites, intranet, newsletters etc.) This will also entail working with internal teams to spread the word about our projects while working with external agencies to manage OML and project-based PR. 

The role will involve clever and appropriate use of copywriting. Advocacy for OML’s POV. Strong communication skills to enable simple and easy to understand messaging. The candidate will liaise with management and respective teams to collaborate on driving comms for new IPs, shows, events, research, reports, editorial, op-ed pieces and ensuring Social Media and Communications are upto date. 


Key responsibilities:


  1. Marketing Communications : Work with the Experiences and Brand Solutions teams to come up with creative ideas to design, communicate and market Events, Online Events, Festivals and Experiences. 

  2. Client Reports : Work with the Brands Solutions team and Global Creator Network to create & curate -

    • Campaign reports

    • Brand pitches

    • Infographics with designers

  3. Public Relations : Work with Management & PR Agency to 

    • Curate/  Create / Proof Read Press releases,

    • Supply Content Opportunities 

    • Dealing with enquiries from the press and related organisations 

    • Responding to requests for information release or press conference from the media or designating a spokesperson or source of information

    • Studying the organization's objectives, promotional policies, and building public relations strategies that influence public opinion and promote products, ideas, and services

    • Researching and submitting entries for relevant and key awards for events/content/campaigns executed by the company

    • Managing and growing the database of ‘Friends of OML’ list at key properties and to make sure the right people experience some of our best work

    • Being the first point of contact for guestlisting related output required on key Live projects



  1. Website Content & Social Media

    • Artist Description / Releases

    • Content & TV Show summaries

    • Campaign summaries

    • Authored Articles / Op-Ed Pieces and Content for our Website + Social Media

    • Author & Curate Social Media content and create Fortnightly  content calendars

  2. Newsletters, Bulletins & Internal Communications


Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal, creative, presentation, influencing, facilitation, organizational, prioritization, decision making, analytical, multi tasking skills  

  • Deadline-oriented, inquisitive, with great follow-up and reporting skills.

  • Will be an excellent communicator, with brilliant presentation and organizational skills.

  • An ability to work on big strategy plans as well as day-to-day tasks.

  • Ability to think both creatively and strategically.

  • Quick and enthusiastic learner.

  • An independent,  motivated and driven individual who has a background in copy/content/editorial writing & editing with minimum 4-5 years experience 

 

Qualifications and Prior Experience:


  • A minimum of 3-4  years’ experience in a similar role.

  • Strong, demonstrated experience in building strategic PR campaigns, preferably with a background in a creative/advertising agency.

  • A history of cross-functional collaboration with both internal and external partners.

  • Native understanding of digital advertising (organic social, mobile, paid social, display, rich media, VOD) with a strong grasp of marketing.

  • Ability to run PR campaigns that deliver measurable results and meet objectives.

  • Creativity in securing coverage and buzz with traditional outlets.

  • Understanding of social media and solid experience working with bloggers.

  • Proven experience creating targeted content is advantageous.

  • Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques.

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or relevant field.
